An excellent option for young adventurers, Boy Scouts and cost-conscious backpackers, the Therm-a-Rest Trail Scout Sleep System includes everything needed for a comfortable night of sleep. This all-in-one set includes a self-inflating Trail Scout sleeping pad, a Tech Blanket, a Fitted Sheet and a Compressible Pillow. An expandable foam core provides the self-inflating Trail Scout (20" x 66" x 1.25") with a warm R-value of 3.7 and makes the pad easy to use. Simply unroll the pad and open the valve. Open-celled foam responds by soaking up air, similar to the way in which a sponge absorbs liquid. Once the Trail Scout has had time to inflate, you can adjust firmness by manually adding or releasing air before re-tightening the valve. A stuff sack (included) aids in packability and provides water-resistant protection. Whether used as an independent comforter or as a companion piece to your Trail Scout pad, the quilted nylon Tech Blanket (48" x 76") is sure to enhance the comfort of your next outdoor adventure. Integrated snaps enable the Tech Blanket to be used as a warm weather sleeping bag and allow it to connect to the Fitted Sheet (include) for a comfortable night of sleep. Ultra-soft and expandable, the Compressible Pillow takes up surprisingly little room in your pack and fluffs up quickly to provide a comfortable 12" x 16" headrest. Note: To optimize the loft of the pillow's compressible fill, it is advisable to fluff the pillow by running it in your dryer for 10 minutes before use. Storing the pillow in an uncompressed fashion when not in use will extend the life expectancy of the fill's loft. The Therm-a-Rest Trail Scout Sleep System weighs a combined 3 pounds, 8 ounces.
